2023AWから立ち上がる新たなデニムライン「MODERN DENIM」シリーズのコンセプトを取り入れたジャケット。
古典的な意匠を残しつつ、無駄を削ぎ落とし洗練されたデザインを提案。

生地には「JIMI CLOTH」を使用。
岡山県井原市に本社を構えるクロキ株式会社との協業によって新たに開発された、オリジナルの左綾デニムです。

縦糸にはジンバブエコットン7番手を使用し、ピュアインディゴにて染色。
緯糸には同じくジンバブエコットン7番手を使用し、12.8ozに仕上げています。

一般的なデニム生地は、インディゴ染色した縦糸と、染色加工を施さない生成色の緯糸を用いて織られますが、ライトベージュに染めた緯糸を打ち込むことで、色の交わりに深みを演出しています。

最も特徴的な点は、左綾で製織していることです。
左撚りの糸に対して左綾で製織することにより、糸の撚りが締まり、畝（綾目）が立ちます。

これにより、右綾のラフな印象と比較すると、左綾は表面が均一になり、落ち着いた光沢や柔軟な質感が生まれます。
加えて、畝が立つことで経年によるアタリが出現しやすくなり、際立ったタテ落ちを得ることができます。

JIMI CLOTH

This jacket incorporates the concept of the MODERN DENIM series, a new denim line launched in AW2023.
While retaining classic details, the design has been refined by eliminating unnecessary elements to create a sophisticated and modern aesthetic.

The fabric used is “JIMI CLOTH,” an original left-hand twill denim newly developed in collaboration with Kuroki Co., Ltd., based in Ibara, Okayama.

The warp yarn is made from 7-count Zimbabwe cotton and dyed in pure indigo.
The weft yarn is also made from 7-count Zimbabwe cotton, with the fabric weighing 12.8oz.

While conventional denim is generally woven with indigo-dyed warp yarns and undyed natural-colored weft yarns, JIMI CLOTH uses light beige-dyed weft yarns to create greater depth and richness where the colors intersect.

The most distinctive feature is its left-hand twill construction.
By weaving left-twisted yarns in a left-hand twill structure, the yarn twist becomes tighter, creating more pronounced twill lines.

Compared to the rougher appearance of right-hand twill denim, left-hand twill produces a more uniform surface, a subtle luster, and a softer, more flexible texture.
The pronounced twill lines also allow distinctive fading and wear patterns to develop over time, resulting in a striking vertical fade.
