Inspired by the 1980s Levi's 70505 Type IV denim jacket with pockets, this piece recreates the distinctive appearance of black denim through knitwear.

Eight different types of yarn are combined and alternately knitted using a single jacquard technique to replicate the texture of a traditional twill weave. Despite being knitted, the fabric resists stretching and offers a unique feel that falls between knitwear and woven denim.

Produced using a limited number of specialized knitting machines, this is an exceptionally rare piece. The red selvedge detail on the chest pocket is carefully handcrafted using a crochet technique.

Authentic distressed and repaired details are recreated through a combination of holes, distressing, zigzag stitching, reversed fabric patches, hand stitching, and airbrushing. Each technique contributes to the realistic vintage character and distinctive craftsmanship of the jacket.

Combining innovative textile development with intricate handcrafted details, the garment also offers the practicality of being machine washable.
